     The Daphne East Elementary Media Center has a flexible schedule which allows students to check out books at any time during the school day.  Each class is also scheduled to visit the media center for instruction in library skills and literature appreciation.  All students are allowed to take their library books home if they wish.  However, if a book is lost or damaged the student is responsible for paying the replacement cost.

     A Fall and Spring Scholastic Book Fair is held each year.  The Book Fair allows students to purchase quality paperback books while also raising money for the library to purchase new books.

     Parents are always welcome to visit our Media Center!
